Help Make the Holidays
a Little Brighter with Toys for Tots
a Little Brighter with Toys for Tots
I moved to Lewisburg from Pittsburgh almost 15 years ago. The
decision to move was an easy one. I was just out of dental school,
newly married and looking for a place to practice dentistry and raise
my family. One visit to Lewisburg, and I knew I was home. Over the years, I've become more and more involved in this wonderful
community, from sponsoring the annual pet parade to hosting the Winans'
Triathlon for Kids. Now with the holidays approaching, I wanted to do something for the
kids in Lewisburg and the surrounding areas to make this special time
of year just a little brighter. The choice was easy to make. I am
supporting The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program and I
invite you to help! If you're not familiar with the program, the mission of the U. S.
Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped
toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute
those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in
which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy
at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will
assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. I can't think of a better way to help our community celebrate the holidays. From now until December 21st my office will serve as an
official Toys for Tots Drop-Off location. If you're coming in for an
appointment, consider bringing a toy to donate. Or better yet, just
drop in to say "hello" and drop off a toy. This is a worthwhile cause that touch so many children in our area.
And after all, isn't spreading joy and hope the meaning of the holiday
season? Please join me and help make this the best Christmas ever for so many children. Sincerely,
Larry Winans, DMD
