Aug. '09 Whiten Your Smile

On the weekend of October 16 to 18, my patient coordinator, Desirée Bartolo will join thousands of women as they participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile fundraiser walk sponsored by The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The event’s route covers approximately 15-22 miles each day for three days in a row. After each long day's journey, the walkers spend the evening at the Breast Cancer 3-Day camp, sleeping in a cozy 2-person (pink) tent.

The event lasts all weekend and 85 percent of the net proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  That’s significant, because every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant.   

The remaining 15 percent of net funds goes to the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, which provides ongoing support to breast cancer initiatives.

In an effort to help Desirée raise as much money as possible for the 3-Day and help fight breast cancer, we’re accepting donations at the office and I’m also offering a Smile Whitening Special.
