Comprehensive Oral Exams

We conduct a complete oral exam each year. These exams include a thorough cleaning, periodontal (gum) evaluation, fluoride treatment, oral cancer screening, intra-oral camera photos and digital x-rays. This annual, comprehensive assessment of your oral health allows us to stay on top of any issues; if problems develop, we detect them while they’re small and easy and affordable to restore. We can also be alerted to any changes in your overall health.

Sealants

A dental sealant is a clear coating that is applied to the surfaces of the back teeth, protecting them from bacteria, plaque and decay. Sealants can significantly decrease the number of cavities a child may get in his or her lifetime.

Fluoride Treatments

We usually recommend that children and adult patients receive fluoride treatments twice per year. Fluoride is a natural element that protects and strengthens the teeth against cavities and occurs naturally in water. If someone is eating too much sugar and not drinking tap water, decay is inevitable. It can be as simple as an adult drinking bottled water or a child drinking a juice box. Considering this, fluoride treatment is more important than ever.

Sports Mouth Guards
